Carol E. Brown

Carol E. Brown, 87, of Greensburg, died Saturday, October 15, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born April 22, 1935, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Eric H. and Vera M. (Nelson) Benson. Prior to retirement she had been employed by WCCC in the registration department and previously worked at Total Insurance, Greensburg. Carol enjoyed cooking and her loved her cats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. “Rabbit” Brown and her brothers, Jon and Randy Benson. She is survived by four children, Kimberly A. Newingham and husband James of Youngwood, Vanessa S. Boczar and husband Jeff of Ligonier, Robert S. Brown and wife Teresa of Ligonier and Tammy L. Baker and husband Chris of Connellsville, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, her sister, Elaine Stock and husband Tom of Marietta, GA, two sister-in-laws, Marianne Benson of Atlanta, GA and Roberta Benson of McKeesport and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday with The Rev. David H. Clement officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
