Rose N. Black

Rose N. Black, 102, of Greensburg, passed away on her birthday, January 30, 2023, at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. Born January 30, 1921, in Mutual, she was the last surviving member of her family. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Social Security Administration in Greensburg. Rose was member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna (Novitsky) Novak; and her husband, William E. Black, Jr. She is survived by her nephew, Frank (Pam) Novak, nephew, Steve (Dawn) Novak, niece, Nancy Novak, a special niece, Marilyn Novak; numerous nieces and nephews; and her good friend, Shoshonna Halden. Honoring Rose’s request, there will be no public visitation. Entombment was private in Westmoreland County Memorial Park Mausoleum. LEO M.
