Carlton Cummings

Carlton Cummings was born March 30th 1938 in Pembroke North Carolina. Carl served in the U.S Navy as an aviation mechanic and was stationed in Tennesee where he met and married his beautiful wife Shelby Jean Hurst on November 7th, 1958. In May 1962 he started to study the bible. Shortly after that he became a baptized witness of Jehovah on May 14, 1966. For the past 58 years Carl has worked tirelessly telling many the good news about God's Kingdom and served as and Elder in several congregations including the Wilgrove Congregation for many years. Calrton leaves behind a son Clifton, a daughter-in-law Carrie, one grandson Tyler, two granddaughters Ashley and Haley, two great-grandchildren Tristan and Hadley, and two grandson in laws Brett and Dylan. Other survivors include sisters Louise, Sally, Amelia, Eunice,Brenda, Barbara and brothers Mike, Robert and Randall along with a host of fellow Christian brothers and sisters. Carl is preceded in death by his loving wife Shelby Jean Cummings, his parents Foy and Bloss, brothers Donald, Jerry, Henderson, Timothy , Ronald, Raymond, and sister Caroline. Carlton passed away July 14th , 2021 in Indian Trail North Carolina. Carl was a loyal and faithful servant of Jehovah, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
