Cherie L. Booth
December 8, 1948 - May 4, 2025 (Age 76)
Cherie L. Booth, 76, of Willow Street, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Leroy F. “Bub” Booth, with whom she shared 18 years of marriage.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George S. and Thelma (Like) Trimble.
Cherie attended Penn Manor Schools. Following high school, she worked as a nurse’s aide, retiring from Willow Valley with 18 years of service.
A family person, Cherie made sure everyone was included for picnics and gatherings, and she made sure that no one left hungry. She was an avid Phillies, Eagles, and Penn State Fan, and she loved ladybugs and ladybug collectables. For leisure, Cherie enjoyed trips to Wildwood and Las Vegas. She also loved to watch Bub drive in truck pulls and was an active participant in his truck pulling team.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Abbie (Eric Richards) Knopp, of Holtwood, Eric Sheetz, of Lancaster, Anita (Eric Fritz) Reinert, of Strasburg, and Matthew (Amanda) Reinert, of Hereford, PA; stepchildren: Cindy Booth, of Quarryville, Holly (Galen) Derr, of Pequea, Erik Booth, of Landisville, Leroy (Diana) Booth, Jr., of Holtwood, and Jennifer (Eddie) Monk, of Lancaster; a brother, Rick Trimble, of Holtwood; sisters: Debera Peters, of Manheim, and Tammy (Clint) Culp, of Millersville. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and her faithful Yorkie friend, Macks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Windsor, a brother, Ralph Trimble, a sister, Heidi Brubaker, and a daughter-in-law, Lori Sheetz.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Road, Lancaster, PA 17603, with Pastor John Hartman officiating.
