Cynthia Buckalew
November 30, 1958 - August 12, 2024 (Age 65)
On Monday, August 12th 2024, Cynthia “Cindy” Holbrook Buckalew, 65, passed away at home surrounded by family after a brief illness.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, David Preston Holbrook; Paternal Grandparents, Samuel Preston Holbrook and Virginia Smith Holbrook; Maternal Grandparents, John Barney Giles and Isabelle Lewis Giles.
Cindy was a Charlotte native and graduated from Myers Park High School, Class of 1977. She then graduated from Central Piedmont as a Certified Medical Assistant and specialized in medical billing and coding until she retired.
Cindy loved soap operas, watching CNN, and most importantly looking out for the ones she loved.
Cindy was a brilliant problem solver with a huge heart and would always do whatever she could for family, friends and those less fortunate.
Cindy is survived by her Loving Husband of 38 years, John Webster Buckalew; Daughters, Aleisha Waller Dawson (Mike Dawson), Kristin Brooke Buckalew (Brett Cress); Mother, Shirley Giles Treadway; Brother, Scott Maurice Holbrook (Cheri Holbrook); Grandchildren, Haley Nicole Dawson, Colby Reed Dawson, and Sienna Elizabeth Buckalew-Cress.
