Daniel RaShawn Rogers, age 26 was born Saturday, June 9, 1998 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Jennifer Rogers and passed away tragically on January 8, 2025 in Charlotte, NC.
Daniel was an outgoing and friendly guy who pretty much never met a stranger. He was always the first person to volunteer to help and support anyone he could. He was a proud father who dearly loved his children. His family was extremely important to him and he always enjoyed spending time with them. Everyone looked forward to family gatherings where he would crack jokes and keep them laughing. He was quite the comedian. He was also a fierce competitor who loved playing cards and video games with family and friends.
Many things could be said about Daniel but loyal is the word that is most often used to describe him. He will be missed by all who knew him. His personality, generosity, fun-loving spirit, his smile and his distinctive laughter will be the things most remembered. We can honor the memory of Daniel by being kind to one another, loving and cherishing our family members and lending a helping hand to others in need.
Daniel leaves behind his parents, Jennifer and Ray D. Cannon, Jr.; his father, Angelo Hatchell; his two beloved children, Aiyden Highshaw and Taylor Rogers; his grandmother, Sharon E. King; his five sisters, Brianna Jordan, Kayleigh Rogers, Alyssa Hatchell and partner Zydajha McDonald, Naomi Hatchell and Alisha Cannon and her husband Ken; his two brothers, Donnell Campbell and Elijah Cannon. Also left to cherish his memory are three aunts, Celena Logan, Tanya Fleming and Neketia Alyatim; his cousins, Jerious Alyatim, Joshua Alyatim, Alexis Eiland and Jamal Eiland; and nephews, Harlem Davis, and Kota Cannon.
Services for Daniel will be held January 16, 2025 starting with a public visitation from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm followed by a funeral service starting at 12:00 pm in the Good Shepherd Chapel of Life and Legacy Funerals and Cremations located at 6525 Old Monroe Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079. A graveside will take place immediately following at Sunset Memory Gardens located at 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte, NC 28227.
