James Lee Ratliff

On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, James Lee Ratliff, passed away into God's grace after a sudden and brief injury. A warrior throughout his life, he was 65 years old.
James was born on May 25, 1956 to Lee Junior Ratliff and Eula Mae Ratliff in Charlotte, NC. After graduating from Harding High School, he started his life time career as an arborist, doing what he loved the most, cutting trees and lawn services. He worked for many companies, including Duke Power Company, like his father.
After retiring in 2021, James spent his time upgrading and cleaning his cars, encouraging and spending time with his family and enjoying yard work. You could catch him in his truck cruising, listening to "Watching You" by Slave.
James was predeceased by his father, Lee Junior Ratliff and mother, Eula Mae Ratliff, sister, Judy Robinson and brother, Howard Ratliff.
He leaves behind his brothers, Leo Ratliff (Mary), Lee Ratliff (Harriet) and Tee Robinson; sisters, Bertha Hall (Junior), Diana Grier (Donnie), Barbara Lampkin (Gregory), Loretta Froneberger (Rick); step-sisters, Selena Williams, Mary Thomas and Brenda Moore. He also leaves behind twenty-two nieces and nephews, sixty-four great-nieces and great-nephews/great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
