JeNyah KiShawne Skyye Wright

In the early morning hours of Friday, September 6, 2024 JeNyah KiShawne Skyye Wright of Charlotte, NC tragically passed away. JeNyah, affectionately known as “Skyye” was born to Christopher and Angelle Wright on January 2, 2001 in Roanoke, VA. She was preceded in death by her elder brother Jeuane, Maternal Grandmother Doris “Cookie” Coles, paternal grandfather Billy Wright and Uncle Jermaine Black.

Skyye was first educated in Roanoke, VA before she and her family relocated to Charlotte, NC. There she completed High School. In 2017, she gave birth to her firstborn son Jermaine. She got her first job at Cook-Out to provide for and be the best parent. While working, she enrolled in CPCC and obtained her Associates Degree in Nursing. Skyye had many talents including writing poetry and mentoring young people who crossed her path. Her most recognizable talent of all was singing! In pursuit of making a better life for her son, she moved to Greensboro, NC for a brief time. While there she worked as a home healthcare provider. Soon after moving there, she gave birth to her second son, Jiovanni in 2022. She moved back to Charlotte for the betterment of her children, who were the light of her life! She continued in-home nursing; and obtained a massage license and a bartending license. She used all of them to provide a full life for her and her children. Skyye was truly a shining star in our lives, Anyone who was blessed to know her loved her and the light of love that she showed everyone. Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Christopher and Angelle. Her two sons Jermaine & Jiovanni. Grandparents, Jerry Pannell Sr., Patricia Wright , and Angela Hopson. Her aunts, Atoka, Brittany, Jaressa, Robyn, Dee Dee, Lisa , Paulette and Veronica. Her uncles, Antony, Allan, Azeez, Jerry, AJ and Jarren. Her Godparents, Willie and Kim Davis. She also leaves to mourn her Wilson family, Bobby & Shelly, Connie, Bobby Sr., Sonia, Angie, BJ, Shonte and Bri. Her “sissys”, LaErica and Jordan and many, many other loved ones and friends including the fathers of her children KeySean and Nicholas.
