Joseph C. Hahn, age 94, of Tampa, FL, formerly of Gibsonia and Penn Hills, passed away on October 22, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Marvelle (Risku) Hahn. Loving father of Amy (Bob) Bucciarelli of Tampa, FL, Bethann Gudmundson of Chicago, IL, and Gregory (Linda) Hahn of Canton, OH. Proud grandfather of Bret (Kaitlin) & Abigail Bucciarelli, Cam and Seth Gudmundson, Sarah (Dr. Lucas Breen) and Emily Hahn. Great grandfather to Isabella Bucciarelli. Brother of the late Dolores Fisher. Uncle of Terry Fisher.
Family will welcome friends on Monday, October 30, from 2-5 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 31, at 10 a.m. in St. Victor Church, Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Bairdford. Interment will follow in Monongahela Valley Memorial Park, Donora, PA.
A U.S. Air Force Veteran, Joe earned his degree from California State Teacher's College and a Masters of Education from Duquesne University. He was a longtime guidance counselor and assistant athletic director with Penn Hills School District. A standout athlete in his youth, Joe loved baseball and played in both the Air Force and in Minor League Baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He ran the tennis program for Penn Hills for countless Summers and also could be found at Pitt football games moving the yardage sticks. Joe was a tremendous husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and will be dearly missed.
