Kathryn M. Kirby

Kathryn “Kathy” Kirby, 76, passed away on April 18, 2025. She was born on August 4, 1948 in Circleville, Ohio to James Edward and Elsie Rosetta O’Dell.

Kathy lived a full and meaningful life, marked by her love for family. She was known for her sense of humor, bright laugh, and friendly personality. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, music, dancing, flowers, baking, and bingo.

Kathy was baptized at the Church of Nazarene in Darbyville. On April 15, 1970, she married Jeffrey Kirby, and together they built a family with 3 sons. She worked as a waitress at Schmidt’s Sausage Restaurant in German Village for 30 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, Kathy is preceded in death by her brother Richard M. Buskirk; father and mother in-law Donald and Helen Kirby; brother in-law Rick Seymour; nephew Richard “Richie” Seymour; niece Beth Ann Whitaker.

Kathy is survived by her sons, Zane (Cheree) Kirby, and Donald Kirby, and Jeff Kirby; grandchildren Wesley, Sadie, Ryan, Jacob (Jada), Grace, Klay, Paige, Matthew; sister Nelda “Jeanie” (Bob) O’Hanlon

She will be remembered with love and deeply missed by all who knew her.
