Kenneth F. Zern
June 13, 1931 - August 28, 2025 (Age 94)
Kenneth F. Zern, 94, of Pottstown, PA, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at Frederick Living. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara A. (Gehrke) Zern, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage until her passing on March 18, 2022.
Born on June 13, 1931, in Pottstown, Ken was the son of the late Lewis B. Zern and Grace V. (Piersol) Zern.
A graduate of Pottstown High School, Ken spent his career as a skilled cabinet maker at Ehst Custom Kitchens, Inc. in Boyertown, PA. He and Barb shared a love for Colonial Williamsburg, where they visited often, and Ken poured that passion into their own home, crafting many features to reflect its timeless charm.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his niece, Susan Hawkins, wife of Richard Hawkins; his nephews, Christopher Elliott, fiancé of Joan Leskanic, James Fister, husband of Ellen Fister, and John Lubas, husband of Tracey Lubas; his great-niece, Madyson Lubas; his three great-nephews, Alec Lubas, Weston Hawkins, and Bryce Hawkins; and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Fister and Eileen Caschera.
A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Church of Boyertown, 250 Swinehart Rd., Boyertown, PA 19512.
