Kimberly G. Burke

August 31, 1956 - February 14, 2025 (Age 68)

Kim Lefever Burke, age 68, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 14, 2025.

Kim graduated from Penn Manor High School, Class of 1974, and Shippensburg University, Class of 1979. She had a distinguished career at Sperry Rand/New Holland, Morgan, Hallgren, Crosswell, & Kane, P.C., Fulton Financial Corporation, and America’s Auto Auction.

A proud member of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority and Grace Lutheran Church, Kim had a deep commitment to her family, her community, and her faith.

Kim is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick, of Lancaster, PA; daughter Brittany (wife of Ryan Platt) of Lititz, PA; son Zac of Lancaster, PA; and granddaughters Madison and Mackenzie of Lititz, PA.

Kim was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience, having courageously fought various cancers over the past 15 years. Throughout her battles, her love for her family remained unwavering. She was a devoted supporter of her daughter Brittany, attending countless Marching Band, Concert Band, and musical performances. She also traveled the East Coast, cheering on her son Zac in his travel and college baseball games. Her passion for books was matched only by her love for her family, with Kim often reading books passed down from her in-laws.

Kim had a deep love for travel and adventure. Before marrying, she explored the world, and later, she cherished trips with her family across the United States. The beach was her happy place, and she especially enjoyed time spent in the Outer Banks with her granddaughters.

Known fondly by her friends as the "Flamingo Lady" because of her love for the color pink, Kim’s vibrant spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Kim’s life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 517 North Queen Street, Lancaster, PA on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. Friends are welcome to greet the family starting at 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. In honor of Kim's love for pink, we ask that those attending wear the color as a tribute to her vibrant personality.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.

Kim’s family would like to thank all of the friends and loved ones who supported her throughout her life and during her battle. Her memory will continue to inspire and bring joy to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
