Robert L. Mecca
December 4, 1949 - August 17, 2023 (Age 73)
Robert L. Mecca, Blakeslee, Pa., died Aug. 17 after an illness.
He was born Dec. 4, 1949, in Scranton, Pa. A 1967 graduate of North Pocono High School, Bob participated in many sports, including football, baseball and skiing, which he became an instructor. He worked many years at Lake Naomi in the maintenance department and also enjoyed riding his Harley.
Surviving are two sisters, Kathy Batzel, Hamlin; and Charlene Hofsommer and husband, Brian, Ocala, Florida; a brother, Don and his wife, Nancy, Forest City; and sister-in-law, Nancy Mecca, Andover, New Jersey; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph T. Mecca; his mother, Alice Lane; and a brother, Joseph S. Mecca.
A blessing service will be conducted at the convenience of the family at Duffy and Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church St., Moscow, Pa.
Interment and rite of committal will be conducted at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp., Pa.
