Sara Ann L. Teal
August 11, 1939 - December 11, 2025 (Age 86)
Sara Ann Little Teal was born in Atlanta, GA on August 11, 1939 and passed away peacefully at Carolinas Medical Hospital in Charlotte, NC on December 11, 2025 at the age of 86. Sara was the daughter of James Clayton Little, Sr and Sara Taylor Little. She graduated from Central High School in Charlotte, NC and after earning an associate’s degree she worked for the FBI in Charlotte as a stenographer.
In 1968, she married Charles “Chuck” Teal and had two daughters. Sara and Chuck shared a fondness for traveling and camping, starting out in a tent early on in their marriage and eventually moving up to a pop-up camper and later a fifth wheel trailer. They enjoyed traveling across the country visiting tourist attractions such as the Grand Canyon, Graceland, and the Amish country in Pennsylvania.
Sara was a homemaker and worked part time as a reading tutor at her children’s elementary school. She later worked as a secretary for the Environmental Health department in Union County, retiring in 1988. Sara was an avid reader and a crossword puzzle enthusiast.
Sara was a faithful member of the church of Christ and she continuously sought to live a life pleasing to God.
Sara was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister. She is survived by her brother Jimmy, her sister-in-law Wanda, her daughters Trisha and Tracy, and her five grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A visitation will be held at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, located at 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227, on December 16, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A service will immediately follow. Sara will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
