Walter Brinker, 93, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024. He was born June 5, 1931, in Greensburg, a son of the late Frank and Emily Brinker Radebaugh. He was a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane Brinker. He is survived by his daughters: Sandie (Larry) Fink, of Sylvania, OH, Terri (Jim) Garlick, of Woodstock, GA, and Janice (Dan) Stanley, of Greensburg; seven grandchildren: Cara, Kristina, Sarah, Rachel, Christopher, Hannah, and Matthew; nine great-grandchildren: Abegail, Mason, Mia, Maura, Makayla, Reigna, Renleigh, Emmy, and Molly; two sister-in-laws: Joanne Noel and Ruthie Hite; and many nieces and nephews.
Golf was his passion. He was a 6-time club champion at Hannastown Golf Club. At the age of 71, he became a USGTF Certified Golf Teaching Professional, giving countless golf lessons. Walt became known as the “golf legend” in Greensburg.
