Allen Berry Caldwell Jr, 22, of Chester, died unexpectedly on September 2, 2021.
AJ was born in Charlotte on February 17, 1999, the son of Allen Berry Caldwell and Kristina Anne Dodge. He attended Harding High School and blessed with a talent to use his hands, went to work in the plumbing trade. When not working, he enjoyed the Lord of the Rings series by Tolkien (which he could talk about for hours) and video games, especially World of Tanks. AJ was also a big fan of the Carolina Panthers and his favorite player was Luke Keuchly. Most of all, AJ enjoyed the time spent with family and friends.
AJ is survived by his parents: Allen Caldwell Sr of Chester, SC, and Kristina (Jeff Walker) Dodge of Charlotte; a sister Shelby (Thomas) Vissman of San Antonio, TX; and a half sister, Michelle Fears of Clearwater, FL. He is further survived by his grandmother, Joyce Sanders; uncles Albert Caldwell of Chester, and Steven Sanders of Gallatin, TN; and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his great aunt, Brenda “Bibi” Ferrell.
AJ’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for him and for them. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Laywers Road, Charlotte, NC 28227.
