Allen Walden

June 15, 1959 - February 10, 2026 (Age 66)

Allen “Scott” Walden, age 66, went home on February 10, 2026. Scott was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a longtime member of New Life Church in Gahanna. He grew up and loved the Southend of Columbus. He had fond memories of working at the first Donatos Pizza, Karns Park, Heyl Ave and Deshler Elementary, Roosevelt Jr High, and South High School where along the way he gained many lifelong friends. His passion was teaching the Bible, a lifelong love of music, Ohio State football, Los Angeles Dodger baseball, horse racing, fishing, playing poker, basketball, The Smoky Mountains, and Rocky Fork Lake. In his later years he loved to share his faith and his music on Facebook. He is survived by stepchildren Dave Pence II (Jen), Darren Pence (Becky), Dawn Pence (Curt), special “son” Bill Ford (Anne), special “sister” Melody Kimbler, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by sister Kimberly Doonan (Sean), brother Casey Kanalos II (Lisa), and special niece Jessica Rahme (Dan) whom he didn’t know existed until age 60. Also a big thanks to caregivers Jodi Lewis, Paula Anderson and the entire staff at Laurels of Worthington. He is preceded in death by the 39 year love of his life Sandra Kay Walden (Plummer), the “grandparents” who raised him Walter and Ellen Daniels, mother Betty Walden, father Casey Kanalos, and grandson Jacob Pence.

His family will receive friends on February 19, 2026 from 2 to 4pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St, Reynoldsburg, where his service will follow at 4pm. Pastor Dave Earley presiding. Per Scott’s request there will be no graveside service.
