Andrew Miletic

May 25, 1940 - June 18, 2024 (Age 84)

Andrew E. Miletic passed away on Tuesday, June 18, at Forbes Regional Medical Center after a traumatic fall. He was born on May 25, 1940, so he had just celebrated turning 84. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Darlene Panzo; daughter, Renee Miletic; son-in-law, Troy Miller; daughter, Michelle Pacconi; son-in-law, Joseph Pacconi; granddaughter, Morgan Pacconi; grandson, Andrew Joseph "AJ" Pacconi. He was born in Munhall to the late Andrew Miletic, Sr. and Catherine Broznich. Because of his curly hair as a baby, he earned the nickname "Toots" from his siblings. He was a proud "Rankin Rabbit" graduate from Rankin High School. Andy served his country in the US Air Force, where he was stationed in Arizona and Alaska. His career as a computer programmer began with paper punchcards through his last job working with IT for FedEx. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated volunteer in the community. Whether pitching in at the annual St. Agnes Bizarre, dressing as Santa Claus every year his grandkids were in elementary school, or delivering food through Meals On Wheels, Andy enjoyed socializing and joking with others. His favorite request of waitresses were for lucky lottery numbers, and he always tipped the servers directly by asking, "Do you have any room in your wallet for this tip?" An avid golfer with the St. Agnes Men's League, he finally scored a hole-in-one in ten years ago, a high point. Family and friends will be received from 2 - 8 pm Friday, June 21, at Ott Funeral Home. Parting prayers will be at 9:15 am with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 am Saturday, June 22, at St. Agnes Church with Father Mathew Morrelli as celebrant. Interment will follow at Penn Lincoln cemetery in North Versailles. Military Honor Guard will provide military honors at the graveside.
