Anita D. Fry

Anita D. Fry, 75, of Adamsburg, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, in Mt. View Memory Care, Greensburg. She was born April 19, 1947, in Booneville, Miss., daughter of the late George and Sarah (Smith) Copeland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sons, David A., Charles J. and Nathan G. Fry; and four sisters, Janette, Theresa Ann, Dora and Quay. Anita was an Air Force veteran serving as a nurse. Prior to her retirement, she was an RN, having worked for numerous hospitals in the area. She was a past member of St. Edward Church in Herminie. She enjoyed going to bingo and the casino. She also loved to go fishing. She always had time for her grandchildren and loved having them come visit. Anita is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, John C. Fry; son, John E. (Tami) Fry, of Irwin; two daughters, Lisa S. (Tom) Mull, of North Huntingdon, and Allison (Rick) Murvine, of Florida; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Mike, Jerry and Rocky Copeland; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Anita will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank Mt. View Memory Care and Bridges Hospice for all the love and care given to Anita. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251, at which time a service will be held in the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
