Anna M. Liller

May 14, 1933 - April 20, 2022 (Age 88)

Anna Mae Liller, 88, formerly of Keys Street, Keyser, WV, closed her eyes at the Moran Manor Nursing Home in Westernport, MD on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 and opened them to meet her Savior and Lord. She is now healthy and whole again and is rejoicing with her family members who have gone before and were waiting to greet her.

Born On Mother's Day, May 14, 1933 in Keyser to the late Leo and Sarah Elizabeth (Berg) Liller, she was the only girl in the family of five children. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Randolf Liller and his wife Leona, Paul Giffin Liller and Emil Hubert Liller; a very special nephew, Richard Alan "Rick" Liller and a very special great nephew, Jeremiah Todd Liller.

Left to grieve her, but also cherish her memory is her brother, Leo Richard Liller and his wife Betty of Fountain, WV; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Liller, widow of Paul of Keyser and Emma Musselman, widow of Emil of New Carlisle, OH. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Steven Paul Liller and wife Dianne of Keyser, Rev. Mark Wesley Liller and wife Dorothy of Hollidaysburg, PA, Rev. Susan Kay Liller of New Carlisle, Beth Ann Liller of New Carlisle, Brian Todd Liller and wife Roberta of Burlington, WV and Karen (Liller) Spurling and husband Dave of McCoole, MD along with several grand nieces and nephews.

Anna Mae was a 1951 graduate of Keyser High School and was employed by Kight's Drug Store, Romig's Drug Store, Judy's Drug Store and Reed's Drug Store until her retirement in 2002.

She was a faithful member of the Keyser Church of the Brethren. Her church was a very important part of her life and she loved the Lord with all her heart. She could be heard singing "Jesus Loves Me" many times at Moran Manor. She loved being there and they soon became her family. She took part in all of the activities she could! The family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the facility for all of the loving care that was given to Anna Mae while she was a resident there.

Anna Mae was the most caring and compassionate person that you would ever want to meet. She cared for her Dad and then later her Mom until their deaths in order to be able to keep them at home. Having never married, she turned her love and affection to every stray cat who ventured near her home on Keys Street. She loved to walk and on many of her trips up her street, the neighbors would tell of the parade of cats that would be trailing behind her. If one was on the verge of delivery, she would put a plastic tote on her porch with bedding inside to provide shelter for the mommy and little ones. A true heart of gold!

Visitation and services will be private for the family at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, in whom arrangements have been entrusted. Rev. Mark Liller will officiate and interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD.

The family requests that memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers be directed to the Keyser Church of the Brethren, 152 S. Main Street, Keyser, WV 26726.
