Anna Mae Hill, age 81, of Zanesville, passed away at 9:43 AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Genesis Hospice Care (Morrison House) in Zanesville.
She was born Friday, April 11, 1941, in Zanesville, the daughter of Charles and Bernice (Evans) Rutter. She was married to Luther L. Hill, Sr., who survives.
She was a member of the Baker Street Church of God and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bernice Rutter, two brothers, Bill and Leonard Rutter, and one sister, Mary Hale.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Brenda (Johnny) Miller, of Zanesville, OH,Teresa (Geno) Davis, of Columbus, OH, Joyce Smith, of Beverly, OH, Luther (Donyale) Hill, Jr., of Springfield, OH, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, her sisters, Helen Lucas, Emma Hills, and brother, Carl Rutter.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, located at 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, OH. The funeral service will be held immediately following at 1:00 PM with Pastor Leonard Hill, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Zanesville Memorial Park.
