Antoinette Smith

Antoinette F. (LaVella) Smith, 80, of Irwin, passed away suddenly Wednesday December 4, 2024. She was born September 20, 1944 in Herminie, a daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Ciuidini) LaVella and was also preceded in death by her brother Robert LaVella, and sisters Joan (Frank) Wilhelm and Janet (Joe) Buncie. She was a member of Hilltop United Methodist Church, Madison, and is a retired corrections officer. Antoinette was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Sammy K. Smith ; children Gregory (Michele) DiMaio of Rural Valley, Gina Sherillo, Mark Smith, Anthony Smith, Jennifer Valeutti, and Charlene Nunez; grandchildren Gregory Jr., Sabrina, Samantha, Fynn, Isabella, Toni-Ann, Danielle, Dylan, Max, Skylar, Serena, John, Dominic, Angelo, and Jaelyn; also sister in-law Irene LaVella. Friends and family will be received 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2024, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
