Barbara Collier

Barbara "Barb" Kay Collier, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on June 3, 2026. She was born September 10, 1945, in Minot, North Dakota, to the late Cecil and Marie Sorenson.

Barb is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Daniel L. Collier; daughters, Kimberly (James) Townsend and Pamela (Joseph) Flynn; stepson, Daniel Brian Collier; grandchildren, Sara (Ronald) Rodman, Jessica (Daryl) Brown, and Katie (Mason) Justice; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Delores Christian and Donna Sears.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Marvin Leroy Sorenson; sister, Marlene Thayer; and granddaughter, Jamie Creasap.

A devoted Christian, Barb's faith was the foundation of her life. She found comfort, strength, and purpose in her relationship with the Lord and faithfully shared His love through her kindness, generosity, and care for others. Her family was one of her greatest blessings, and she treasured every opportunity to stay connected and involved in their lives, even when distance separated them.

Barb enjoyed gardening, thrifting, and collecting treasures that brought her joy and reminded her of special memories. She loved sharing her finds with family and friends and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Her warm heart, steadfast faith, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Church of Christ of Groveport, 5626 Groveport Road, Groveport, Ohio 43125. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor David Stevens officiating. Interment will take place at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
