Beth M. Striffler
October 20, 1950 – July 3, 2026 (Age 75)
Age 75 of Plum Borough, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 3, 2026. Born October 20, 1950 in Latrobe, PA, she was the daughter of George and Nancy (Smith) Baughman. Beloved wife of 57 years to Ivan L. Stiffler, Jr. Loving mother of Ivan (Samantha) Stiffler, Lori (Bill) Fabyanic, Mark (Kerstin) Stiffler, and Jill (Nigel) Thijs. Devoted grandmother of nine and great-grandmother to five. Her family was the greatest joy of her life.
Beth’s faith was her firm foundation. She loved singing worship songs and lifting her voice in praise to Jesus, finding deep peace and joy in worship. Her favorite color was purple, not by chance, but because it was the color of royalty: a reflection of her identity as a daughter of the King, King Jesus. Her faith wasn’t something she simply believed; it was what she lived, sang, and shared with everyone around her.
Beth had a generous and giving spirit, always opening her home to family and friends, making sure no one ever felt like a stranger. Whether hosting a gathering, cooking a meal, or simply sitting and listening, she had a gift for making people feel loved and cared for.
Beth found beauty in life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid crocheter, creating handmade treasures for the people she loved. Her garden was a source of pride and peace, where she grew tomatoes and green beans with her own hands. Beth adored fresh flowers, especially pansies, and loved watching the birds visit her feeder. She had a special fondness for animals, including her beloved pet tortoise, Charlotte, and loved nothing more than sitting in the warm sun, soaking in its light - a simple joy she never tired of.
Beth also loved to travel, and one of her favorite places in the world was Punta Cana, where she created cherished memories with her husband, exploring new places together after decades of partnership and love.
Beth Stiffler’s legacy is one of faith, family, generosity, and joy. She leaves behind a beautiful family and countless lives she touched with her warmth, her worship, and her unwavering love for Jesus and for others. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit of praise, generosity, and love lives on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 3 p.m. until time of memorial service at 6 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747).
