Betty Jane Boring
July 10, 1931 - May 12, 2021 (Age 89)
Betty Jane Boring, 89, of Greensburg, died at home surrounded by her family as she was reunited with her husband in Heaven, who were married in April 1948. She loved sitting in her recliner snuggled with her poodle Tabitha watching TV, especially Steelers games, the warmth and smell of a fireplace, and eating peanut butter and jelly toast with a good cup of hot tea. Betty was involved with Pittsburgh Submarine Veterans at the Requin Base with her late husband. She was a lifelong camping enthusiast, spending the winter months in Florida. She was actively involved with Laurel Mountain Coachman and Carriage International. In addition to her parents, Alva and Florence Adams, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin G. Boring Sr. on December 23, 2009; a granddaughter, Emiranda Frost; brother, Thomas Adams; and sister, Tressie Boring. She is survived by her children, Sandra Frost, of Georgia, Donna Webb (Miles Jr.), of Greensburg, Calvin G. Boring Jr. (Peggy), of Greensburg, and Kevin M. Boring (Jennifer L. Falbo), of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Miles Webb III, Jessie Webb-Zemba, Elizabeth Bold, Michelle Boring, Shannon Boring, and Evan Frost; five great-grandchildren, Hunter Webb, Brylee Webb, Aubrey Bold, Kirra Zemba, and Emi Frost; two sisters, Opportune Wholaver, of Northeast, and Florence Rainey (Harry), of Westover; several nieces and nephews; Lori Harrold affectionately known as her adopted daughter; and her loving dog, Tabitha. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A private funeral service will take place in the funeral home with Pastor James West officiating. Private interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Please be prepared to adhere to all current health guidelines, including face masks and social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Westmoreland County, P.O. Box 1552, Greensburg, PA 15601.
