Betty Jean Hazuza, 88, of Rillton, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in Elizabeth Seton Memory Care, Greensburg, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 15, 1937, in Clearfield County, daughter of the late David and Gladys (Rorabaugh) Kauffman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George J. Hazuza ; four brothers ; and infant sister.

Prior to her retiring , Betty was co-owner with her late husband, George, of Hazuza's Greenhouse, located in Rillton, for more than 60 years, where her passion for flowers, plants, and nature brought beauty and joy to countless people in her community. Her greenhouse was more than a business. It was a reflection of her caring spirit, patience, and dedication. Betty and George enjoyed traveling and vacationing in their motorhome: those trips brought them great happiness and became some of her most treasured memories. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family. Betty also enjoyed gambling for fun, taking many trips with her niece , Peggy; and sister-in-law , Sis.

Betty is survived by her three daughters, Kim Stawicki (Mark):of Sewickley Twp. , Sharon (Mark) Primus, of Rillton , and Debora Lightner (Matt), of North Huntingdon; son, Greg (Cindy) Hazuza, of Rillton; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Betty was beautiful inside and out ,; she will forever be remembered for her holiday family dinners, delicious homemade bake goods, and special moments spent together with her family. Her love will continue to bloom in the lives of those she leaves behind. Betty will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and many customers over the years. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live in every flower that blooms and in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The family would especially like to thank the Staff at Elizabeth Seton Memory Care for their dedication and compassionate care and Suncrest Hospice for all their assistance and expertise over the past months.
