Betty Lou Williams Taylor ran into Jesus’s arms on November 7, 2024.
Betty was born on March 22, 1933 in Charlotte, NC.
She attended Tech High School. Her journey was one of strength and determination, as she later continued her education by earning her Associates Degree for Special Education from Central Piedmont Community College while raising 5 children.
Her love for God was the anchor in her life, and she shared His Word freely, offering wisdom, grace, and kindness to all who knew her.
Betty's warm, charismatic personality shone brightly, often highlighted with her signature pink lipstick, and her spirit was vibrant, especially when she was singing, dancing, or preaching. Music was a big part of her life as she was nicknamed "The Songbird".
She is survived by Lou Ann Taylor Harrison, Daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Taylor Hopgood, Daughter Brenda Kaye Taylor, Daughter, Dorothy Lynn Taylor Medlin, Daughter, Daniel Lamont Taylor, Son, 11 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren .
She was preceded in death by Ocey Cagle Williams (mother), Paul Williams (father), Erskine Ray Williams (brother), Paul Williams (brother), Clifton Taylor Jr (husband).
A graveside service for Betty will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
