Beverly D. Simmons
January 1, 1943 - January 12, 2026 (Age 83)
Beverly D. "Bunni" (Davis) Simmons, 83, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2026. She was the beloved wife of David V. Simmons. They shared 57 years together before his passing in November 2022.
Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Ethel (Carter) Davis. Beverly graduated from Pottstown Senior High School and held various jobs throughout her adulthood. She worked for Sax Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom in the men's department, selling perfume and cologne, as well as working at Kodak, giving test photos to customers. Beverly also held a short modeling career.
In her free time, she loved being in her garden, and planted everything from flowers to vegetables. She also loved to cook, and would often use ingredients from her garden. Her favorite thing to grow was peppers and asparagus. She was known to be a wine connoisseur, and enjoyed a glass while relaxing. She held a deep appreciation for Veterans, and gave to various programs to support them. Also, anyone who knew her knew that she loved cats and almost always had one around the house. Other hobbies included caring for her fish and going to the casino with Aunt Betty and her Aunt Marion.
Those cherishing Beverly's memory include her son, Sterling Simmons, husband of Helen, and her "bonus son", Wilfredo Pellot Santiago; her grandchildren: Nicholas, James, Riley and Liam; her great- granddaughter, Myricelle; as well as her niece, Christine Richardson. In addition to her husband, she joins in Heaven, her son David "Chip" Simmons, and her brother, Wesley Davis, Jr.
Services will be held privately at the request of the family.
