Billy Eudy, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
A graveside service will take place at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 S. Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Following the burial, there will be a Celebration of Life for Bill beginning at 1:00 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, with Rev. Barry Yates officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
Born in in Great Falls, SC in 1938, Bill was the son of the late Lee Eudy and the late Mary Lou Eudy. He was also preceded in death by his devoted wife, Sylvia Greene Eudy. He attended the University of South Carolina. Bill retired from Bowater after 39 years, following a lifelong career in the paper manufacturing industry.
In his spare time, you could often find Bill playing golf or participating in church activities. More than anything else, he enjoyed time with his family, most notably in his role as Pawpaw. Spending time with his 7 grandchildren and his 11 great-grandchildren was his highest honor. Bill was a lifetime member of York Lodge #385. He attended Carolinas Cornerstone Church.
Surviving are his two daughters, Melissa Allen (Wade) of Charleston, SC and Melanie Burnette (Jimmy) of Rock Hill, SC; seven grandchildren, Michael Allen, Sarah Beth Helsley, Ruth Anne Burnette, Taylor Allen, Abby Arnson, Catherine Orr, and Preston Burnette; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He will truly be missed not only because of the joy he brought to each of us, but also because of his great Christian beliefs and his constant desire to serve others. He was happiest doing for other people.
