Bruce Wayne Carter Jr
February 19, 1969 - February 10, 2024 (Age 54)
BRUCE WAYNE CARTER JR. was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania to Bruce Wayne Carter Sr. and Joanne Carter (formerly Ellison) on February 19,1969.
Bruce, affectionally known as Toot, was a graduate of Pottstown Senior High School and Lincoln Technical Institute where he mastered electronics. However, his skill set didn’t stop there because Toot could fix or build just about everything from the basement to the roof of a house. Most recently, he was in the process of getting licensed and investing in real estate. He also loved working on cars and was often called on by family and friends to help them. Mom always says he got his handiness from the Ellison side of the family. He got his competitiveness from the Carter side of the family. One of his favorite sayings was, “To beat B . Carter, you must try harder.” Bruce was easy like Sunday morning and kept us laughing with his smile and funny jokes. He loved his children unconditionally and cherished the time they spent together. Toot was also a loyal brother, a beloved friend, and a good son. Some of our fondest memories were during the holidays, family reunions, cheering on the Eagles, shooting pool, playing video games, summers in Virginia, and growing up on Chicken Hill playing with his little sister and his cousins.
Bruce was suddenly called home to the Lord on February 10, 2024, just before his 55th birthday while working on his car. He was predeceased in death by his son Michael Lamont Gibson. He leaves to cherish his memory: parents Bruce Wayne Carter Sr. and Joanne Carter; sister Sheree Carter Chase; children Jordan Andrew Carter, Brice Andrew Carter, Jared Anthony Carter, and Janae Alyse Carter; brother-in-law Derrick Chase; nephews Masiah Elijah Chase and Zion Prince Carter Chase; and a host of other family and friends. We will truly miss you.
