Bryan J. Butler
June 22, 1983 - May 14, 2022 (Age 38)
Bryan Joseph “Jay” Butler, 38 of Zanesville passed away tragically on May 14, 2022, in Nashport. He was born in Zanesville to Cheryl (Byron) Goslin Gorsky and Joe (Lisa) Butler. He graduated from John Glenn High School and attended Zane State College.
Bryan was formerly living in Los Angeles, California where he was pursuing a career in music which he loved. He was an accomplished singer, composer, and producer of Rap Music of which he was known throughout the industry. After losing his brother Kyle on April, 15, 2022 he moved back to Zanesville to be closer to family. Bryan had a strong Christian belief.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his siblings: Amber Nicholson, Kirsten Harris, Jocelyn Parker, Cheyenne Strain, Mandi Lawler and Cody Gorsky; his two children: Trace Ryan and Aaliyah Sky; grandparents: Bonnie Gorsky, Steve (Bonnie) Butler and Ed (Pat) Goslin; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and music fans.
He will be reunited with his brother Kyle Nicholson and grandparents Richard (Mary) Gummere.
Calling Hours will be Saturday May 21 from 10am-12pm (Noon) at THE SNOUFFER 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will follow at noon in The Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
