Rock Hill, SC – Carl Franklin Shaver, 77, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Atrium Health – Pineville.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-1:50 pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. The service will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor John Strain officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 South Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Born and raised in Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Shaver was the son of the late John Elbert Shaver and the late Martha Rushing Shaver. He was retired from Georgia Pacific with more than 40 years of service. His work ethic was unmatched and was evident in his daily walk, both at work and as he managed multiple rental properties. Mr. Shaver and his wife owned many trucks and tractors over the years and enjoyed working with them together. He was a member of The Living Church of God and had been baptized recently. Above all else, he valued time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Johnsie Parrish Shaver, who was also his high school sweetheart; two sons, Jeff Shaver (Summer) and Chris Shaver (Allison); daughter, Donna Shaver (Dennis) of Fort Mill, SC; five grandchildren, Bryson Shaver, Colson Shaver, Kaytlin Shaver, Morgan Shaver, and Blake Shaver; and his sisters, Mickey Reese, Helen Gunter, and Margaret Rominger.
