Carl Michael Fetters, Sr., 69, of Mt. Savage, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Potomac Valley Hospital.
Born March 13, 1954, he was the son of the late John J. and Gladys V. (Garlitz) Fetters.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, John V. and Ronald E. Fetters, Sr.; sisters, Debra K., Paula J., Claira F., and Dorothy L. Fetters; and granddaughters, Danielle Fetters, and Alexis Fetters.
He attended Corriganville, Mt. Savage, and was a 1972 graduate of Allegany High School. He attended Allegany College where he studied to be a mechanic. He worked for Amoco Oil Company, Cannodale Bicycle Company, and the Cumberland Times-News. He belonged to Wellersburg Fire Company and Piney Mountain Sportsman Club. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Diane (Farris) Fetters; sons, Carl M. Fetters, Jr., and Vernon J. Fetters; daughters, April Bockhouse (Matt), and Stacy Fetters (Greg); grandchildren, Michael, Austin, Mackenzie, JoElla, Kayden, Ariya, and Kenna; great-granddaughter, Kenleigh Fetters; and sisters, Darlene E. Ward, and Donna M. Fetters.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Stevie Leydig, officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Fetters, Shane Titchnell, Austin and Michael Fetters, Matt Bockhouse, and Greg Rapson.
