Carl P. Laird

June 19, 1980 – August 8, 2026 (Age 46)

Carl Petrisko Laird, 46, of Rillton passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, after a courageous 3 ½-year battle with renal cancer. Carl fought hard everyday to spend as much time as he could with the loves of his life, his wife Alison and daughter Reagan. Born on June 19, 1980, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, Carl was the beloved son of the late Judy (Petrisko) and Carl M. Laird.

Carl graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. At the time of his passing, Carl was employed by the National Energy Technology Laboratory in South Park. His education and dedication to his field were a testament to his strong work ethic and determination. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Carl had an extraordinary passion for cars. He possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of automobiles that amazed those around him, especially Reagan who was convinced he could tell the year of any car by smelling the air around it. Carl also had a talent for fixing anything. Alison never worried about the house or the cars because Carl could take care of it all.

Carl is survived by his devoted wife of almost 15-years, Alison, and their cherished daughter, Reagan. Carl also leaves behind the family pets, including his sweet and loving dog, Bonnie Rose who enjoyed cuddling with dad wherever he was. Carl was a loving husband and father whose strength and loyalty were evident in every aspect of his life. His family fought alongside him during his illness with unwavering love and support. Carl is also survived by his in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who surrounded him with love on his last day on this earth.

Carl’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him as a strong and loyal individual who touched many lives. He is now reunited with his parents, many relatives, and pets who were undoubtedly waiting to welcome him into the Kingdom of Heaven.
