Carlos Humberto Davila
January 20, 1942 - May 7, 2025 (Age 83)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Carlos Humberto Davila, who left us on May 7, 2025 at the age of 83. He was surrounded by his loving family at home.
Carlos was born on January 20, 1942, in Quito, Ecuador. The son of Luis Julio Davila and Maria Esther Varela Davila. He grew up in Quito, where he developed his love of singing and a strong work ethic.
A loving husband to Maria, Carlos was a pillar of strength and support for his family. Together, they raised two children, Jimena and Carlos. He was a devoted father, always there to offer guidance and love. He cherished family gatherings, and his presence brought both joy and laughter to those around him.
Carlos had many passions in life, including coin collecting, playing soccer and most of all, singing and a love of music. He was known for his kind and caring nature and his sense of humor could light up any room.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Davila; his children, Jimena (Terri) Chavez-Davila, Carlos (Veronica) Davila; grandson, Logan; siblings, Piedad, Magdalena, and Julio Davila; as well as many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service to celebrate Carlos' life will be held on May 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel, located at 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina, 28227. Carlos will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC.
