Carol Claire Constable
May 22, 1952 - July 30, 2024 (Age 72)
Carol C. Constable, 72, of Oxford, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at her home. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Clifford S. and Claire F. (Frankenhouser) Constable.
Carol attended Haddon Heights Baptist Church Sunday School as a child and was later a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Audubon, NJ. She renewed her faith in Jesus as her Savior prior to her passing. Despite her sudden illness and the rapid progression of the unstoppable cancer, she was thankful for the time she had with family and friends and utmost for the Lord’s gift of Salvation. “For it is by Grace that you are saved through Faith. This is not from ourselves; it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8.
Carol loved life, especially gardening, cooking, shopping, and raising animals. Through gardening, she saw creation- bringing forth life from a dusty seed. She loved the thrill of watching seedlings grow into lovely plants that grew and produced fruits or vegetables to nourish us or lovely flowers to cheer us.
Cooking was another delight in creation that she savored. Carol enjoyed making delicious meals for her family and loved watching Chef Jean- Pierre for ideas. Her passion was in raising Thoroughbred Palomino horses. She worked very hard to support them and could talk for hours about pedigrees. Her pride and joy was raising the cremello Stallion, “Whistler Mtn. Gold”, that resides in Virginia at Colordale Farm. She is credited as a mentor and inspiration to those in the colored sporthorse world. She also raised 2 Grand Champion, multiple titled Labrador Retrievers who miss her very much.
Carol worked as a medical transcriptionist, medical secretary, in-home nursing assistant, and taxi driver for Amish friends and neighbors. She always made a point to ask everyone their name and was very good at remembering them.
Carol is survived by a daughter, Joanne P., wife of Chuck Martin of Oxford; grandchildren: Philip, Alaina, and Daniel Martin; and siblings, Curtis Constable and Nancy J. Knisley. She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Jane Constable.
