Carol E Dickenson

Carol E. Dickinson, 79, of Port Trevorton entered into rest on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. She was the wife of the late Bruce Dickinson.

Carol was born on Feb. 25, 1944, in Pottstown. She was the daughter of the late Rufus and Dorothy (Hoffecker) Ecker. She was a 1962 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, Pottstown.

Carol retired in 2012 after 20 years from Furmano Foods, Northumberland.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Selinsgrove and was active with the Loaves and Fishes ministry. Carol was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 1173, Selinsgrove.

She enjoyed bowling, watching her favorite shows on tv, enjoying beach vacations to Rehoboth Beach with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, she loved attending their activities and sporting events. Carol always put others before herself.

Carol is survived by three daughters, Nicole Lukens with whom she lived with, Gail Hendricks and her fiancé Harvey Follmer, and Lisa (Joseph) D'Urso; six grandchildren, Ashtyn Lukens, Landyn Lukens, Kaley Intrieri, McKenzie Hendricks, Camden Pickles, and Lindsey Mull; three great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law Fay Ecker, and two brothers-in-law Donald (Barbara) Dickinson and Thomas (Kay) Dickinson, nieces and nephews. Carol was the last of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the V. L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High Street, Selinsgrove followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Dietmar Plajer officiating. Burial will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.
