Carrie Mae Culp

Ms. Carrie Mae Culp, 86, of 542 Glenn Street, Rock Hill, SC, peacefully transitioned at her residence on June 25, 2025. She was born on March 18, 1939, in Newport, York County, SC, to the late Alphonso Culp and Maggie Massey Culp.
Carrie was educated in Rock Hill, attending both West End School and Emmett Scott School. Throughout her life, she demonstrated a strong work ethic and compassion for others, working at Meadow Haven Nursing Home before retiring from Baxter's in Charlotte, NC.
She found joy in the simple and beautiful moments of life; solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles, listening to gospel hymns, savoring delicious food, traveling, and cherishing time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, James and Eliza Massey Peoples; siblings, Charlie Louis Culp (Baltimore, MD), Magaline "Mae" Culp (Rock Hill, SC), and James Leroy
"Roger" Culp (Rock Hill, SC); and her beloved grandson, Christopher Rayshaan Key Culp (Rock Hill, SC).
She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy: five children - Barbara

"PTah" Culp of Rock Hill, SC; Thomas M. Culp (Debra) of Rock Hill, SC; Robert C. Culp (Karen) of Rock Hill, SC; and Bernadette Culp of Virginia; two brothers, Fred Allen Culp (Mildred) of Waxhaw, NC and Bishop Carlwell Culp (Rebecca) of Rock Hill, SC, and one sister, Bettie L. Wylie of Baltimore, MD.
She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, two loving aunts, Beulah Vinson and Henrietta Peoples both of Rock Hill, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
