Charles E. Barefoot

Charles E. Barefoot Sr., 96, of Osterburg, passed away on November 26, 2022 at home.
He was born on September 6, 1926 in Geistown; son of the late Durban H. and Mabel (Sauter) Barefoot.
On November 22, 1979, he married Ellamay (Miller) Barefoot, she preceded him in death on July 26, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ellamay; numerous brothers and sisters; grandchildren, Tammy Conn, Kashmire Vought, Christopher Budzina; and great grandbaby Haven Joy Pyle.
He is survived by the following children, Charles E. Barefoot Jr. and wife Darla of Watsontown; Winnie Barefoot of Bedford; Mike Barefoot of Osterburg; Judy Hauger and husband Ron of Claysburg; Suzella Pritts and husband Arthur of Somerset; Nancy Dickey and husband Robert of Somerset; sons, John Budzina of Delaware; David Budzina and wife Bonnie of Somerset; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charles was owner of CE Barefoot trucking for 60 years. He was a member of the Central PA Truckers Association, and a Life member of the Bedford Moose.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, December 1st from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 2nd at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Wright officiating at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Interment will be held at the Bedford County Memorial Park.
