Charles Frederick Aeby

August 31, 1936 - February 4, 2025 (Age 88)

Charles (Chuck) was 88 years old and was born August 31, 1936, in Flint, Michigan to parents Rosie J Shaffer and Albert F Aeby. Chuck graduated from Flint Technical High School where he met his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Phyllis L Aeby. They were married June 22, 1957. Chuck continued his education at University of Michigan and graduated in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Chuck had a great work ethic. After college he worked at companies such as Philco and Buick. In the late 60’s he started PCS, a control design and manufacturing company which supplied controls to major companies like General Motors. In the 70’s he started PAC designing solid state relays.

In 1976 he worked at Bauer Brothers in Ohio, a job which took him all over the world. In 1982 he took a job at Parsons Main in Charlotte. Chuck strived to continue his education/experience throughout his career as a Professional Engineer. He retired as a Project Manager at Parsons Corporation managing large projects including data centers, Navy ship builds, and government projects.

Chuck loved math, mechanics, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, donating at yearly blood drives, attending the United Methodist Church, and he most definitely loved singing to and with his family. Tunes like “A Bushel and a Peck,” “I’ve Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts,” “Shipoopi,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Catch a Falling Star” would pop in his head and he would start singing. He loved playing “Here Comes the Bumble Bee” and “This Little Piggy” with all his little grandkids and great grandkids. He was jovial and always made family, friends and strangers smile.

His love for work and knowledge was only exceeded by his love, devotion, dedication and passion for his family. He is survived by his five children, Paul, Martha (Henry), David, Mary (Roger), and John; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, sisters Marie, Peggy and Barbara; brothers Albert and Richard; nieces, nephews, and many extended family and friends.

Chuck was preceded in death by his loving wife Phyllis, parents, brothers Albert (Howard) and William and sisters Rosie Lee and Mildred.

Although his physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
