Charlotte L. Keperling
March 10, 1929 – May 14, 2026 (Age 97)
Charlotte Lefever Keperling, 97, Lititz, PA, formerly of Bausman, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Born in Strasburg Township, she was the daughter of the late Roy Rohrer Lefever and Mary Naomi Gochenaur Lefever and the wife of the late R. Nelson Keperling, with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage.
She attended Quarryville High School and later graduated from Lancaster Business College. She worked for Simplex Paper Box Company as an executive secretary until she had her first child. Later she worked for Armstrong World Industries until she retired after 22 years of service.
Charlotte described herself as a “tomboy” as a young girl. She enjoyed sports and played field hockey and basketball in school. Charlotte also loved singing, studied piano and voice, and was a member of a women’s trio as a young adult. She continued singing in her church choir and then as a member of the AARP chorus. She was an active member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Lancaster, where her enjoyment of being around young people led her to teach Sunday School in the High School Department for 25 years. She had a keen interest in missionary work, and she and her husband welcomed many missionaries into their home. In retirement she and her husband also served as election poll workers in Bausman. Her hobbies included baking for friends and family, taking daily walks around the neighborhood with her husband, reading, writing letters, visiting shut-ins, and delivering Meals on Wheels. As those who were close to her know, Charlotte loved the color red!
She is survived by two daughters, Cathy K. Pine (David), New York, NY, and Cynthia K. Moore, Elverson, PA; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son-in-law, Ronald R. Moore, 3 brothers and 10 sisters.
Charlotte's family will receive guests from 10 to 11 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11 AM with Chaplain Mark Jeske officiating, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, Pa 17543. Private interment will take place in Conestoga Memorial Park.
