Christeena L. Imler
July 8, 1950 – October 25, 2026 (Age 76)
Christeena “Chris” Louise (Kaup) Imler, of New Paris, was born on July 8, 1950, to George and Donna Kaup of Tyrone. She lived a full life devoted to God and her family. Surrounded by her loved ones, Chris went home to be with Jesus on October 25.
On February 6, 1970, Chris married the love of her life, Randolph “Randy” Imler of Bedford. Together, they built a life filled with memories, love and adventures. They enjoyed traveling together, taking many trips, cruises, and vacations throughout the years. Vacationing was one of Chris’s favorite things to do.
She loved spending time with family, taking pictures, going on adventures, riding roller coasters, shopping, and singing. She especially loved going to her grandchildren’s school sporting events, theater performances, music concerts and any activity they were involved in proudly cheering them on every chance she could. She also enjoyed watching the Game Show Network, attending Gospel Hymn Sings and Gaither concerts with friends, and making memories with those around her.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. Chris was an active member of the worship team at Ryot Church of the Nazarene and participated in Young at Heart, Oasis Bible Study, Operation Christmas Child, and Bedford County Elks Bowling. She had a special love for teaching children about Jesus and devoted many years to serving as a leader in the Missionettes organization. Chris also served as a nurse at Donahoe Manor for 17 years then LTSR in Bedford for the remainder of her life, caring for those who needed her.
While Chris had many interests and accomplishments, her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud Nana and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her beloved husband of more than 56 years, Randolph “Randy” Imler; her three children, Randy Imler II and his girlfriend, Trina; Christa Morton; and Juleen Damjanovich and her husband, Nick; and her eight grandchildren, Lynnette Morton, Trey Imler and his wife, Kristen, Bridget Smith and her husband, Chris, William Imler, Lynnsey Morton, Jayden Imler, Jenna Damjanovich, and Molly Damjanovich. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Elias and Ezra Smith, Mya Imler and two on the way.
She is also survived by her siblings, Marsha Moore, Karen Beasom, George Kaup, and David Kaup of Tyrone.
Those who knew Chris know that no one was a stranger to her, they will remember the many fun picnics at “God’s Country”, that there were always cookies in her cookie jar, she could only keep silk plants alive and if anyone wondered where to find her, Boscov’s was always a good place to start.
Chris leaves behind a lifetime of treasured photographs, family stories, vacation memories, songs, laughter, and moments that will be held close to the hearts of those who loved her.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, October 28th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ryot Church of the Nazarene.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Davis officiating at the Ryot Church of the Nazarene.
Interment will be held at the Bedford County Memorial Park.
