Cindy L. Degler

September 22, 1966 – July 3, 2026 (Age 59)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing on Friday, July 3, 2026 of Cindy Lynn (Keenan) Degler, 59 of Marysville, OH, formerly of Monongahela. Cindy was born on September 22, 1966, to the late Warren and Virginia (Merolillo) Keenan. She was raised in New Eagle, and attended the Ringgold School District.

Cindy dedicated her life to serving others, both personally and professionally. She spent 33 years working for Dublin City Schools and Delaware City Schools as a custodian and supervisor. For the past three years, she served as a Transportation Coordinator for Buckeye Valley Local Schools, where she continued to make a positive impact on students, families, and coworkers.

Cindy will be remembered for her compassionate heart, generous spirit, and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. She never hesitated to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or put others before herself. Her kindness touched countless lives, and the love she shared with family, friends, and everyone she met will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Degler of Plain City, Ohio; her sisters, Edna (Chris) Steininger of Westerville, Ohio, Linda Keenan of Monongahela, and Lisa (Dean) Lusk of Monongahela; her brother, Bill (Gloria) Keenan of Monongahela; and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Virginia Keenan; her niece, Nicole Keenan; and her great-nephews, Gavin Caraway and Zion Wallace Jr.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the incredible legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that Cindy leaves behind. She made the world a better place simply by being in it, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received in the Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess St., Monongahela 724-258-6767 on Friday July 17th from 11am-1pm followed by graveside services with Reverend Jude Urso beside her beloved parents in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
