Colleen Righino
February 21, 1975 – May 25, 2026 (Age 51)
Colleen Ann (O’Rourke) Righino,51, beloved wife, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend, finished her race today, crossing the final finish line with courage and grace. Her life was a testament to perseverance, love, and quiet strength in the face of profound challenges. A proud graduate of Penn-Trafford High School, Colleen distinguished herself as a talented track athlete, setting records that reflected not only her speed, but her determination and spirit. She carried that same drive forward in her academic pursuits, earning her baccalaureate degree from Seton Hill University, an achievement that spoke to her resilience and commitment to her goals. In the years that followed, Colleen faced multiple illnesses that gradually limited her mobility and altered the course of her life. Yet even as her physical strength waned, her inner strength never did. She met each day with courage, dignity, and an enduring sense of hope that inspired all who knew her. Today, Colleen is free from those limitations. The race she once ran on the track has taken on new meaning—she now runs unencumbered, restored and whole, into the open arms of God. Colleen wished to express her deepest gratitude to the many doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals who cared for her throughout her journey. She regarded them as true angels of mercy, whose compassion and dedication brought comfort in even the most difficult moments. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, especially by her beloved dog, Molly, and forever remembered, always. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 1 PM Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 1:30 PM in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or the Light of Life Rescue Mission (www.lightoflife.org).
