Cynthia Ann (Strait) Self

Mrs. Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Strait Self age 64, passed away peacefully Friday January 7, 2022. Born in Rock Hill, Cindy was the oldest of 5 siblings, she was born to John T. "Sonny" Strait and Jewel Stevenson Strait. She is survived by her husband Harvey "Randy" Self of 45 years of marriage; her children Randy (Jesika) Self and Deana (Buster) Griffin. Her siblings Scottie (Donna) Strait, Sherry (John) Kimbrell, Fran (Justin) McGee, Jason (Wendy) Strait; her grandchildren Haley Self, Ryan Roberts, Noah Self, Camryn Self, and Blake Griffin. She also had many nieces, nephews, and beloved cousins. As well as her best friends Lynne Freeman, Karen Cook, and Janice Redding. Cindy worked for many years with the school district and York County serving children. She enjoyed spending her weekends and summers at the lake house with family and friends. Mostly, her love for family, friends, and her dog, Grizzly.

A Celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2pm with visitation from 1-2pm at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home 700 Heckle Blvd. Rock Hill, SC 29730. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
