Daniel Custard
June 1, 1963 – July 28, 2026 (Age 63)
Daniel R. Custard, 63, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2026, in Morgantown, WV.
Daniel grew up in Westerville, Ohio, graduating from Westerville North High School in 1981. After attending The Ohio State University, he graduated from DeVry University with a B.S. in Technical Management.
He is survived by his mother Patricia; sister Marcy (Todd) Goble; niece, Madison Goble and nephew Cameron Goble; and former wife, Ann, of 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his father Arnold “Bud”, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Daniel loved everything outdoors. He spent 25 years in Colorado making many friends who enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. He was an avid NASCAR fan attending many races. He enjoyed Harley Davidson adventures that took him to Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico, Wyoming and South Dakota. Music was his favorite way to communicate. He had the pleasure of attending several concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Daniel leaves behind his cat, Charlie, who will dearly miss their walks and talks together. We are certain that all his beloved pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge were waiting to greet him.
Moving back to Westerville in 2015, Daniel reconnected with family and friends before moving to North Carolina and then Morgantown, WV. As Daniel never met a stranger, he was welcomed by new friends, particularly Stacey, Jeff and George who will miss his friendship, helpful nature, and humor.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 7th, 11:30 a.m. at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 7060 State Route 3, Westerville, OH. Please wear a tie-dyed shirt or an OSU shirt to show your love for Daniel.
