Daniel Ilich Sr.

Daniel Ilich Sr. , 85 , of Herminie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital , Greensburg, with his family by his side. He was born July 13, 1940 in Monessen, son of Dragomir and Nellie (Kruczek) Ilich. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his son, Daniel Ilich Jr. ; two brothers, John and Louis Ilich; two sisters, Julie Waryanka and Olga Medich.

Dan was a farmer his entire life. He loved his “ Dan Good” wine and his winery friends. He was an excellent cook and was always the life of the party. He always had a drink to share with his family and friends at his special table. Dan was a member of Greensburg Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He will forever be remembered for the party lights being on.

Dan is survived by two sons, John (Stacey) Ilich of Irwin and Nathan (Gina) Ilich of North Huntingdon; two daughters, Danielle (Rich) Ali of Elizabeth and Anna (Bill) Domonkos of Herminie, and daughter-in-law, Michelle Ilich of Herminie; five special grandchildren , Emily, Joey, Ryan (Shelby) , Alex and Noah; two special great -granddaughters, Bella and Lorelai; and sister-in-law, Patricia A. Ilich of Herminie; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great- nephews . He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.

Friends will be received Friday, March 6, 2026 , from 2p.m. to 7 p.m. at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251, at which time a service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Private Interment will be held in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Pet Adoption League, 211 East Pennsylvania Ave., New Stanton, PA 15672 , in memory of Dan.
