Daniel L. Dry Sr.

Daniel L. Dry Sr., 91, of Latrobe, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital.

Born February 12, 1932 in Adamsburg, he was a son of the late Charles P. and Emma T. (Vozel) Dry.

Daniel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Latrobe. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Rockwell. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he sang with the 2nd Army Chorus. His love of music carried on throughout his life and he spent many years singing with the Irwin Male Chorus. Daniel was a member of the B.P.O. Elks No. 907, Latrobe, the American Legion in Erie, F. & A.M. Lodge No. 750, Jeannette, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Coudersport Consistory, and the Syria Shrine, Pittsburgh. Daniel also enjoyed golfing.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, of 50 years, Mary K. (Blaney) Dry; one brother, Charles Dry; and one sister, Lois Dry.

Daniel is survived by one son, Daniel L. Dry Jr., and his wife Bernadette, of Ardmore, and their children, Finley and Gillian; one daughter, Theresa Dry of Latrobe; and a sister-in-law, Marianne Blaney of Texas.

There will be no public visitations. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 10 am Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Latrobe, with the Trinity Clergy officiating. Interment will follow at Westmoreland County Memorial Park where graveside military honors will be accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg
