David B. Parke

David B. “Dave” Parke, 72, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Hospice Care of Lancaster after a long battle with cancer. He resided for the past 29 years in Landisville, PA. Born on May 17, 1953, in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Richard L. and Lois J. Marr Parke and was the loving husband of Trudy Bender Parke for fifty-two years.
A dedicated employee of Armstrong World Industries for 34 years, he was a proud graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and attended Millersville University for a short time. His passion for sports began at an early age, and he continued into adulthood, where he enjoyed playing basketball, golf, softball, and pool work leagues. He also enjoyed long trail bike rides with family and friends. Dave loved and cherished time with his family and friends, particularly on summer trips with his family to Rehoboth Beach, DE. And he had a deep appreciation for music, that he wove into the fabric of his everyday life.
In addition to his wife, Trudy, Dave is survived by one son, Christopher M. Parke, husband of Anne (Campbell) Parke, of Lancaster and one daughter, Heather (Parke) Klazas, wife of Joseph A. Klazas of Lititz. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jack, Ella, Zoey and Oliver, a brother, Keith W. Parke, husband of Marsha (Miller) Parke of Lancaster, PA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dana Lynn Parke.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dave’s Celebration of Life Funeral Service at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Will Stenke officiating. The family will receive family and friends at Groffs from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Interment will take place at Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA.
