David Gobble

David L. “Sie” Gobble, 83, of Jeannette, died Sunday, April 21, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 2, 1941, in Saltville, VA, a son of the late Archie and Syble (Keese) Gobble. Prior to retirement he had been employed by General Tire, Jeannette, for over 40 years. Sie was an Army veteran. He was a man who could fix anything, enjoyed magic and card tricks, and loved Alabama football. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters; and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Seibel) Gobble; five children, Daniel Gobble (Katie Cassidy), David Gobble, Lisa Tarzan (Andy), Linda Darso (Mo), and Laura Kinney; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brother, George Gobble (Thelma); two sisters, Etta Jean Patton, and Lois “Jackie” Scruggs; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 12 to 2 PM Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 PM with Pastor John Smaligo officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
